I am so grateful. I am so grateful that I am so grateful. Please, I am so grateful. My Mohit Huahu Isliye Up Meri Guru Banana Maaf ki jiye Ye Gita Kasar Gita Kasar kya he Ham So, we are also very interested in the The Baltic Samadhan is not very much in the past. There are many, many Samadhan. There are YouTube, this Samadhan, this Samadhan. But ultimately, we are the same as our knowledge. Sri Krishna, his teachings, Arjuna gave, but Arjuna is his own. Arjun is a good person. Arjun is a good person. The good person is a good person. The Maharishi Patanjali Yogasutra was a place where the Klesh is a place. The church is a place where the church is. What are the parents of the people who are living in the world? The Vedic is the word of the Vedic. The Vedic is the word of the Vedic. The Vedic is the word of the Vedic. The Vedic is the word of the Vedic. I am very important to myself. Because I am shocked because I am not a person. But we have a lot of people who are living in the world. The reason is that we are not alone, or we are not alone. We are not alone in psychology. I always want to speak in English. Sorry. Sorry. Please bear with me. I'm trying sincerely to speak in English. Yeah. If you allow me, I will speak in English, in Hindi. So we just... Uskibat Asmit. Asmit, Nama, Ham, have this conception, very strong conception, I am this body. I am Indian, I am Uzbek, I am Rus, I am this, I am that, I am Vajgianic, I am this or that. So Asmit, this deeply rooted conception which we have, connected with the material understanding of who I am. But matter, badal nivala qi is here. Matter always changes. People, they have all these problems because matter changes, but Atma, the soul, doesn't change. Atma, the soul, remains the same. And this is exactly the point which Krishna is trying to make. He says that Atma, you're Atma. You're not the soul, you're not the body, you're not the sharir. You're Dehi. See Krishna, is loke me vishesh shabda prayokkartahe. Dehi o Deha? Hamari sharir matlab Deha. Dehi Deha se alaghe. Shri Krishna ne sapse sundar targ de Dehe. If we are not able to see the body, we are able to see the body. . . . . . . Of course, we can see that the guard is moving. How do you say the changes? Yeah, we will not be able to see the changes. The very fact that we see the changes which take place in our body and take place in our mind. The very fact that we can notice these changes implies that we are different from this body, from these changes. And therefore, Sri Krishna, in this shlog, he says that those dir-vyakti, those vyakti who are stir-buddhi-vyakti, Those Vyakti who have stirrita, those Vyakti, those people who have this Vichalit buddhi, they are not bewildered by the change which is called mrityu. This is one of the most important points of the whole Vedic culture. What is the difference between Vedic culture or Vedic Darshan, Vedic philosophy, and the other philosophies? Because this point about the difference between the body and the soul is very clearly delineated from the very beginning. this punarjanma this concept of transmigration is extremely important any other religion any darshan which we have will not explain this with that much clarity and therefore Krishna is laying the foundation for the whole spiritual journey of us He says, if you want to be free from shock, if you want to be free from your agyan, if you want to be free from all your problems, this is the solution. Material solutions here, but material solutions, material samadhan, Baltic samadhan, they ultimately don't last long because they don't touch the root cause of our problems. and therefore Krishna he wants to free us from all the problems and he says you are grieving about something which is not worthy of grief and at the end at the very end of Bhagavad Gita he again says don't grieve there is no cause for grief karan Shokka Karan Dalthihe Asli Karan Shokke Barame Nahihe Amaripas Kionki Ham Nitya Atmahe Lekin Islokme Shri Krishna Atma Kshabda Prayokna Hikartehe Kion Shri Krishna Ne Tahtehe Dehi the one who is the owner of this Deha he's called Dehi If you have a question, then you can answer it. It is a question. If you have a question, then you can answer it. By definition, it is a question. They lose their wealth and they become garib-log. They remain the same. is but samjatehe. Atma, this is a very high-sounding word. This is a very spiritual word. Atma, we don't know. Lakin, we know that we have deha, and the dehi, the owner of this body, is different from the deha. So this is the first point which we have to understand before we can do anything spiritual in this world. And if I understand this simple point, which is in reality not so simple, then we will immediately feel some relief. I heard a very interesting story which happened in America. In America, perhaps you know, there are some fat people, obese people, people who drank too much Coca-Cola and ate too much burgers. So these two fat black ladies came to Hare Krishna temple. And the Pravachak who was giving the lecture, He was hammering this point. You are not this body, you are not this body. You are not this body. And one fat lady looked at another fat lady and she whispered to her, did you hear this? Such a relief. It near a hothead. So, So the very moment we hear this, we can get relief. See, Krishna starts his pravatshina, his shiksha, his explanation of spiritual science from this point. Because he doesn't want to give yet another religion. just now just before our lecture I was asked what is the difference between Krishna consciousness and other religions Muslim religion, Christian religion this religion, that religion what is the difference? what is the difference? and the answer is that religion or dharm, this is just a set of certain rules. And people may follow these rules and when they follow these rules, they feel good. And these rules are good for us to follow. But religion usually is not concerned with understanding the inner essence of reality. Religion just gives you Certain set of rules Which helps you to live Nicely in this world But Shri Krishna doesn't give religion As such Religion Will become Empty Enterprise If we don't understand the essence Behind the religion This point which Krishna explains from the beginning is behind the religion. And if you understand this point, you can nicely practice any religion, no matter what religion it is, because you understand the essence which is behind the religion and which religion should bring you to before you will be able to do something proper. So, therefore, Silla Prabhupada, in his Bhagavad Gita Yadharup, he explains that Krishna consciousness is not a religion, it's a science of God. And this is exactly what impressed me when I first read Bhagavad Gita. I'm sorry, I stopped pretending that I know Hindi. I tried enough. It's a little difficult for me because it's the very beginning. Excel, speak English, maybe I disperse little Hindi here and there. But what I want to say is that this is what struck me. I was an atheist. I was complete, total atheist. I was brought up in Soviet Union. I was not even atheist. I was a scientist, which is worse than atheist. Scientists, they're very stubborn atheists. They are very much, they very much blindly believe in atheism. I know it and I have a right to say this. But when I read Bhagavad Gita, I could understand this is a science. This is not just religious dogma. Sometimes we say that Hindu is very open very open and very broad-minded. But the reason is exactly this. There is a very strong philosophical foundation of Hinduism. And therefore we can understand what religion is all about, and therefore we can understand that religions are actually talking about the same thing. On a certain level, I don't speak that all religions are the same. They are not the same. They have different goals, different this and different that. But ultimately, the essence which they want to bring us to is the same. That there is God. There is soul. And our real relationship is between us and God. The relationship which we have here is destined to change. Today I am in this situation. and I may be very happy about this situation, but ultimately it will change, sooner or later. It may change to the best, to the better, it may change to the worst, but ultimately my material life is not stable, but I, the soul, I am the stable. Why people have middle age crisis? Middle age crisis is one of the crises, It's very miserable condition, you know. I always encounter this. People come to me and they say I was so happy. Why am I not so happy? Why I cannot be happy? And the reason is very deep for this. Because we, who are permanent, who are not changing inside, all of sudden see that our body is changing, that our situation is changing. All the problems which you have is only because of this. We see the changes which we don't want. We don't want change. We're afraid of change. Now there was this glorious elections in India. And everyone was watching what was going to happen. You know, who will be the next Sarkar? BGP or Congress or whatever. Why? We're concerned with the future, again, because we are afraid of the change. We don't want the change. Ultimately, in our deeper reality, deeper insight, we are hankering for some unchanging, some unchanging happy situation. That's the nature of the soul, and therefore we always feel foreign in this material world. We always feel that something is wrong in this material world. And therefore, Krishna is saying, yes, you're right, your intuition is right. You're eternal. We will never be able to imagine How is it that I don't exist? Can you imagine that you don't exist? No, I exist and I will always exist. I exist and how is it that I don't exist? I do exist. And Sikrishna is giving very beautiful logic to this. He says, as I tried to explain in Hindi, I will repeat it in a better way in English. that the one who is drashta, who is the seer, who can see, is always different, and the very fact that I see means that I don't change. You know, I'm 68 years old, and it's very difficult concept for me to understand what does it mean 50 years old 50 years back I was exactly the same as I am now nothing changed I, the soul was the same I didn't change and that's exactly what Krishna is saying in this slog he says that, you know, when you were a small child, you were like this, and then you became, you know, grown up, then you became old, but, you know, nothing changed in you, you're the same, you are the same. You know, I remember once I was in a train and there was one drunk person and he couldn't sleep and I didn't sleep because I was chanting my, I was doing my sadhana. And he came to me and he wanted to speak with me. And I said, okay, since he wants to speak with me, let's talk a little bit with him. And I started preaching to him this point. I told him, you know, you were a small boy and then you became older and now you are grown up and you are 40 years old or something like this. You know, when you were small, was it you or somebody else? I was trying to bring back to him this point that you, the soul, don't change. The body change, but you don't change. And he started thinking and thinking and thinking, and then he said, no, it was not me. But that's, again, that's moh. That's agyan. That's ignorance which we have. Ignorance is that we don't understand that I am different from the body. Ignorance is not understand that I don't die. I will not die. Sri Krishna is very clearly and emphatically says here that because you are, you know, if you have dear buddhi, if your mind is stable, you will be able to see this and when the deaths come, you will not be disturbed. You will become very happy. Sri Krishna, Arjuna Samasya, his problem problem of Arjun was that he was afraid of death as much as we are all he was afraid of this inevitable change which expects all of us and how to prepare ourselves to prepare ourselves to be happy at this moment of death of this moment of drastic change of our situation is only want to understand that I don't change even now because according to the science our body changes every seven years after seven years this is just not a single atom within our body which is the same which was seven years back Does it mean that I am different now? No, I am the same. And I will become the same. And then there will be Punarjanma and everything else. If you understand this point, then you will be able to understand everything else which is there in the science of God. Then you will be able to understand. If I am the spirit soul which is unchangeable, by nature, by very nature, by very constitution, which is unchangeable, then I have to develop relationship with God, with whom I'm always related. And this relationship is the real religion. And therefore in the end, Krishna says, Sarva Dharma Paritya Jamami Kam Sharana Vraja, he says, religion is external. All the sets, rules, sets of rules which we have to follow from this religion or that religion, is ultimately to bring us to the point of understanding that I am connected with God always. And I have to care about this connection. If I neglect this connection, that will be the biggest mistake which I make. I may be successful in all our regards. I can pass all my exams. I can become very rich businessman, but what does it matter at the moment of death? Yeah, you know, rich people sometimes have first class burial ceremony with a lot of garlands. ceremony with a lot of garlands. It's not so important at this time. What's important at that time is how much close you have become to God. And that's the real essence of why this human body or human form of life is different from any other body. else, you know, other species of life, they can do. You know, we can eat. You know, sometimes I you know, I see how I live in Vrindavan. And there is a lot of hawks living there. Or monkeys also live there. And they eat and drink such a garbage. and they never get sick. And I wonder why we are so susceptible to all kinds of diseases, you know, if we would eat the same stuff. So in one sense, they're happier than us because they can eat anything and become healthy and happy, and their body is never sick. you know I never saw any hawk which is calling the ambulance they have much less diseases they are most suitable for this material kind of interaction with matter because they don't have this higher destination we as human entities, living entities we have the higher essence in our life. And this higher essence in our life is to understand God, to understand the science of God. And that's exactly what Sri Krishna is trying to explain in Bhagavad Gita. And he says that the byproduct of this understanding is then you become happy. We all try to become happy by all means. Sri Krishna says that if you understand the science of God, then the happiness will come as the byproduct of it. You don't have to strive for it just for the sake of happiness. Happiness will come because you will realize your nature as the soul and by nature, by the very constitution of your soul, you're already happy. The happiness is within us. The happiness is not something which is external towards us. The happiness is the constitution of our soul, and the only thing which we should do is to realize this happiness which is within our soul. And that's why we are here. And because this science is universal, it has a universal appeal. People of any walks can relate to this science. You know, rich people, poor people, Uzbek people, and Russian people, and Indian people. It doesn't have any difference. It's universal. And Srila Prabhupada, his amazing achievement, what is the difference which he made? he could explain that the Vedic religion, which looks like just another religion of this world, with all different dress and different external signs, different rituals, he could explain the essence of this and could give the understanding this essence is absolutely universal. And therefore people of different walks of life, they so easily adopt this science of God. Because again, science is universal. The medicine is the same. When you take medicine, you don't ask where it is manufactured. Medicine is the medicine. So the science of God is universal. And whoever takes the science of God will be cured from the disease of ignorance, from the disease of agyan. And as a byproduct, as a bypass result of this, as some byproduct of this science, the happiness will come. So that's basically the essence of what I wanted to say. That the most important point which we should always remember, I'm the soul. And being the soul, I'm not so much connected with the matter. My connection with the matter is always problematic and will always be problematic. It will never be extremely happy. You know, you take some little wrong food and you always feel that, immediately feel that there is some problem. So often these problems have come. But we are trying so hard to establish nice relationship with the matter. And we are not giving so much attention to establish the relationship with God, which is the most important task in our life. And this is such a simple thing, but it's so difficult to understand. And therefore, Krishna starts with this point and hammers this point again and again and again. Please understand this. If you understand this, you will understand everything else. If you don't understand this, you will not understand anything else. Even if you follow all the religious rules, Even if you do all Durga Puja and all kinds of other rituals. Yeah, it will give you something, but it will not ultimately give you the happiness which we are seeking for. Anyway, I'm really sorry. I sincerely try to speak in Hindi. it didn't work so well I need your blessings to ultimately be able to speak Hindi thank you Hare Krishna yes Can I ask? Yes. What happened to the soul when it used the body? When it died? This point is very nicely explained in Bhagavad Gita. In the 8th and in the 15th chapter, this process of transmigration is explained. We have Stul Sharir, gross body, and we have Sukshma Sharir, subtle body consisting of our mind, intelligence, and ego. And when we act in this world, we can see that our gross body is changing, according to the program which is there in the genes. But our subtle body is also changing. The body of our mind is changing according to the actions which we do. If we behave nicely with other people, we form certain habits in our mind, we form certain traits in our psychological traits. So when our gross body is finished, and it will be finished sooner or later. No matter how much you try, you will not prolong the life in this body longer than 120 years. This body is meant, it's the manufacturer, you know, guarantee. 120 years maximum, not more than this. But the subtle body is much more durable. and the subtle body this is what matters at the moment of death atma is the anuatma is the spiritual atom atom of consciousness it gives the energy to this body and this body is only conscious because the atomic atma soul emanates the consciousness and pervades this body by this consciousness. But when, at the moment of death, when the body becomes, the condition of the body becomes incompatible with life, then the soul lives together with the subtle body. And the subtle body has certain form. You know, like this dress has form, but this dress only has form because our gross body has form. In the same way, gross body has form only because our subtle body has certain form. So when we act in a certain way, then our subtle body is changing in a certain way. We can see the reflection of these changes in our external appearance. Somebody becomes very blissful at the end of life. somebody becomes very miserable at the end of life. So, when the subtle body leaves the gross body, then the subtle body has form, and according to the form which was created at the moment of death, which was more or less not created at the moment of death, which was created during the life, but which was finalized at the moment of death. the gross body will be chosen by the soul, which is compatible with the form of the subtle body which you have at this moment. I just recently met with one person who had near-death experience. Now there is a lot of data which explains what happens, at least partially explains what happens when the soul leaves the body. He had car accident. And it was severe car accident. Actually his body was completely finished. It was a miracle that he ultimately came back and he explained how he came back. He said that when I left the body, I saw the mess which is there, bloody mess which is lying there on the street. And he went somewhere up, up, up. And then he went to a certain region and he saw three very beautiful effulgent bodies. And he could understand that actually, he was some practicing devotee, he was chanting japa and so on and so forth. And he could understand at this moment that these three bodies, it's just projection of his subtle body, subtle reality, And he is given a choice. And he said they were very beautiful, very, you know, very tempting bodies. And basically there was some sort of intuition or understanding of him at that point. You know, you please choose one of them and then you will have the next series, next life according to this. And then he said, at this moment I remember the verse from Bhagavad Gita. Whatever condition of life you remember at the time of death, you will get the same as your next destination. Whatever bhava you are. Krishna, not without a reason, uses the word bhava. Bhava means the constitution of your subtle body. Whatever emotion you have, whatever bhava you have. Then this bhava will become the starting point of your new life. And he said, at that moment, I remember this verse, and the previous verse where Krishna says, if you remember about me at the moment of death, you will come to me. and he said I told somehow mentally that I don't want these bodies, I want to continue to be a devotee and come to Krishna and he said at this moment he said I saw the tunnel which goes down from the position where he was according to his karma and he went back to the body and he said, you know, it was a very miserable condition when he came back to the body because body was messed up. Totally. It was, all his legs were broken in many, many conditions. Many, you know, they wanted to amputate his legs and somehow or other it didn't happen. But he said, I was in this miserable body, but I was still blissful. By remembering this experience. and nobody could understand how I'm so blissful and he said he then explained some miracles which happened and now he's you know he's running 20 kilometers you know every week and his body is completely cured which is miraculous in itself but basically that's what happened your subtle body leaves the gross body, you see what is happening within your body, and then you go somewhere else, and then you may decide, I want to come back to this body. In some cases it's possible. There is a very beautiful story in the internet. One lady, she was a Pujarati lady. What's her name? I forget her name. Anita Murjani, or something like this. She had, you know, she had a terminal cancer for many, many months, and she became completely, totally, her body was completely finished. And, you know, she was given just a few days to leave, and ultimately all her family members came to say goodbye to her. And then she had near-death experience, and somehow or other she came back to the body, and she was completely cured, and nobody could understand how it happened. She was in the last stage of the terminal cancer. She had this near-death experience. She came back, and now she's preaching, don't worry, there is no death. But Krishna says this in Bhagavad Gita before Anita Murjani or whatever it is. Just a question of taking it seriously. It's the reality. It's the reality of life. And this is the foundation of our proper happy life in this world. To understand that ultimately I'm the soul which is eternal. And Krishna gives us the hint. As much as you will see your body lying down on the floor when you are quote unquote dead, you'll see this ultimate change, but even within this body we see that something is changing. I'm not changing, I'm the same. The very particle which has the ability to say I. Because there is no, you know, scientists that are investigating the brain, but they don't know, they know many, many different, you know, parts of the brain, what are they responsible for, this part of the brain is responsible for vision, this part of the brain is responsible for movement, this part of the brain is responsible for speech. There is no part of the brain which is responsible for saying, this is I. and this is the biggest problem for the brain scientists because they cannot understand how these different experiences which are experienced by the different parts of the brain ultimately belong to one person why it's not completely disjointed sort of experience you know this is something seeing this is something smelling but why somebody says I see who is that I who is seeing who is that I who is smelling or who is tasting or who is drinking this I is the soul and the soul is eternal and it will not change so so that's everything else is derivable from this. If you understand this point, then you can derive everything else. And then everything becomes very logical and scientific if this point is understood clearly. Okay. yes, soul is purush that's exactly you know, what I wanted to say I was trying to explain it in Hindi, it didn't work so well Sri Krishna doesn't use he could use purush he could have used the word purush he could have used the word atma he could have used the word jiva but he's using the word dehi why? because he wants to explain in a very simple language. If there is Deha, then it means that there is Dehi. And they're different between each other. He doesn't want to give the philosophical concept in the beginning because Atma means philosophy, Purush means philosophy, Sanke philosophy, with all other implications which are there. but he gives a very simple word, simple language, the owner of the body basically. Who is that owner? You know, if we say atma, we already kind of tainted in our understanding. It means we subscribe to certain philosophical you know, concept or system. But when he says dehi, the owner of the body, It's completely clear, very neutral. That's why for 20 shlok in the beginning, Sri Krishna is speaking the same point again and again and again, even once he doesn't use the word atma. Even once he doesn't use the word purush there. Even once he doesn't use the word jiv there. Only this, the owner of the body. The something which pervades the body. What is something which pervades the body? That, you know, Sankhi will explain in one way. You know, Vedanta will explain in a slightly different way. This school of Vedanta will explain in a completely different way. That's already something which is not so basic. But to understand everything else, you first have to understand this basis. That the body is only alive, otherwise it's just genes. It's just matter. It's just mamsa or asti or kun, raktha, which itself is not alive. It's only alive because it's pervaded by the consciousness of the soul through certain mechanisms, through prana and everything else. Yes? We will remember the soul, the soul, the soul. The question is that now we listen here that we are the soul, but we may remember about this for 15 minutes after the lecture. Or maybe if we are lucky tomorrow morning, we will also remember this. But then how to remember it constantly. Our bodily experience is very demanding. And that's why we always forget that we are the soul. Because body always reminds us, you know, I need this, I need that. our mind has so many different ideas and concepts. So, you know, because we always feel like body, we have to consciously remind ourselves that we are the soul, at least for some time by chanting Hare Krishna mantra, and this is the time when we should remember or I'm the soul, related with God. Every religion has this part of sadhana, daily sadhana, when you are trying to get away from the concerns of body and the mind, and enter into the relationship with God. The relationship with God becomes the point of stability in our life. Like the boat, if there is no anchor in the boat, then the boat will be completely destroyed by the winds in the sea. So in the same way, if our soul is not anchored with God, through his name, or through some mantra, or through some other means or through some prayer. If there is no this relations or connection between the soul and the God, then we will be like the ship without anchor. We will be always driven here and there in the sea of material life. Therefore, this connection has to be strengthened by the means of constant practice. This connection is there, but because it's always being attacked or weakened by the material experience which we have. Sometimes people ask this question in connection with Poonar life, this concept of transmigration. Why we don't remember the previous life? It's very often asked question. You know, when people ask me this question, I usually say, you know, why we don't remember what happened with us 10 years back? Why we don't remember what happened with us one week back? Because we're too much absorbed in what's happening with us now. Because of this experience, you know, This experience kind of pushes back the memory which we have, and it becomes more vague. And people, Patanjali Muni, I will answer your question, but let me speak this. Patanjali Muni says that when you distance yourself from intense material experience, then you will be able to remember your previous life. The reason why we don't remember it is because we are too much involved, too much absorbed, too much, you know, we are completely drowned in this experience which we have. So when we have this more meditative state of mind, we will be able to distance ourselves and to remember what happened with us. And why did we come here? Yeah, but at least we remember something what happened 10 years back. But we don't remember anything about the fact that we received. That's a good argument. But actually, you remember something and some people do remember something about previous life. Usually it happened when people, there is a lot of studies in this regard, usually it happened with people who are less than five years old. Because what happened at five years old, At five years old, according to the development scheme which we have, the separate ego starts forming. Before, when the children are very small, they don't have so much separate formed ego in themself. And therefore, it's easier for them to remember something which happened with them when they had different ego, different concept. I have one personal experience about this. I know one boy who was very clearly explaining who he was when he was in previous life. Till he was five years old. Now he's grown up, now he's 18 years old or something like this, he's a grown up person. He doesn't remember anything of this. But he was explaining in all details what happened and it was so provable what happened with them. You know, it's a special gift of God to us to be able to forget our previous life because we would be even more confused than we are confused now. if we would remember who we were. Just imagine that you remember that in your previous life you were a man and you had these bad experiences and that bad experiences, you know. We have so much problems about bad experiences of our past in this life. Imagine if we would carry everything from our previous lives. If we would remember our miserable deaths in previous life and everything else. You know, the forgetfulness, it's like anesthesia. Anesthesia is necessary to survive certain difficult things. Therefore, you know, forgetfulness is like anesthesia. We forget about this because we need to live this life. But again, if you distance yourself from the, you know, from the experiences of this life, you will be able to remember something. Sometimes you may give some hints. You know, I know at least three people who had quite vivid remembrance of the past life. Actually, the fact that you don't remember past life is very good. because usually people who remember past life, they had very unfortunate, drastic death. Those people who were killed, murdered, who were in a car accident, who were, you know, like I know personally, one devotee, she's a devotee, She's in a women's body now. She was a young man in a previous life. And she or he, I don't know, he was killed in a car accident. Those people who had this very unfortunate, drastic death, they tend to remember it because it's so vivid and so clear in their mind. But those people who had normal deaths, quote unquote happy deaths, they don't remember it. Because they need to live new life. They need to solve the problems of this life. They need to fulfill the desires with which they come. Why do we come back? Because we have some unfulfilled desires. It's very clearly explained in Srimad Bhagavatam that the desires which you have in your mind at the moment of death, oh, I didn't fulfill this, I was not happy in this situation, maybe if my life would be different, I would become more happy. Then Krishna says, God says, yeah, you want to try it again? No problem, try it. Good luck. Maybe this time you will become a little more happy because you will come to Hare Krishna Mandir in Tashkent. Any other? Okay. The continuation of the same question. Would it not be better for us to remember our previous life because by remembering our previous life, we would be more conscious about the, you know, the scenarios which we had in the previous life. Something like this. The point is very simple. Remembrance of our previous life would spoil our present life. That's it. We're coming with certain idea in this life and to fulfill this idea, we have to forget about previous life. As simple as this. There is a very well-documented case of Poonar Janma. One lady, Shanti, she was living in Madhura, and you know, why it is so well-documented? because this is the case study for astrologers. Her horoscope of the previous life and her horoscope of this life, they were known. It's a very well documented case of the previous life. And she very well remembered her previous life. But the point is that she was totally not happy in this life. Exactly because of this point, because she's so vividly and she clearly remembered what happened with her in previous life. She couldn't live fully this life because the memories of the previous life were haunting her. She couldn't really live properly. So it's very important for us to forget our previous life. And as I said, we will be more confused. We're already confused with the previous body. If we remember other bodies, we would be even more confused. No point of remembering them. Yes, please. How do you evaluate your karma? Means if you are in the right path, if you are not beyond the limit, in your limits, the world has given to you. If you are not cross the boundary. But how do you evaluate the karma? Means you are in the right path, or you have to do more for the world? See, that's exactly what I was trying to explain. If you understand the science behind, see, you know, this is very important consideration which religious people always have. How to make sure that I'm on the right path, that I didn't cross the boundaries. And it's a difficult question to answer usually because there is always some uncertainty. We may not be 100% sure whether I'm doing right or wrong because all the situations are not described in the scriptures. Scriptures give some certain rules, but then how to apply these rules in your particular situation, you don't know. And sometimes you may have a doubt. Did I cross the rules? Maybe I did something wrong. Did I do something wrong with my karma? Will I suffer about this? You know, it's a normal consideration of people who want to live a good life and who don't want to have bad consequences of what they're doing. Now, if you are on this level of understanding, you will never be able to answer this question and nobody will be able to answer this question to you. To find the answer to this question, you have to go beyond. And that's exactly what Krishna is doing here. He says, you know, don't ask me about the rules, what I should do, what you should not do. Please understand the principles. Please understand the science. when you understand the science you will be able to apply it to any different situations and you will understand what is right, what is wrong and if you don't understand the science and try to apply this mechanically sometimes on the way here we were talking about Jewish religion Jewish religion is very very how to say legalistic they have to follow all the rules especially you know, Shabbat or whatever, and they find all kinds of, you know, in Shabbat you shouldn't work. Work means you cannot, you know, you can push any button. You know, and therefore they have special Shabbat elevators. You know, you cannot push the button, but you can say, you know, fifth floor, and the elevator will take you to the fifth floor. So they're trying to find all kinds, Because they're afraid exactly what you say. You know, if I violate the rules which are laid down for me, then my karma will be bad and I will suffer. Or the consequences will be bad. You know, but this kind of legalistic approach to life, first of all, it's totally impractical. Second of all, it's kind of, you know, we're trying to cheat God, basically. You know, you're trying to find some excuses how to do what you want to do, but at the same time not to cross the boundaries which God established for you. That's usually what religious people do. They know there are some boundaries, and they want to find some loopholes how to cross these boundaries, but at the same time remain within the boundaries. So therefore Krishna says, no, I'm not trying to play with you this game. this game is not you know I'm not interested with this game you know I'm giving you the principles and if you understand the principles you will be able to understand how to behave in any different situation and then of course you will have to need the help of scriptures which will explain in more details what is good what is bad but first understand the principle and then And even if you do something wrong, it's not such a big thing. You know, because if your consciousness is right, then the results, you know, Krishna explains very beautiful principle, which you have to understand very clearly. What matters is not what you do. What matters is with which consciousness you do what you do. Krishna says, you can kill. You know, that's why he's explaining this to Arjuna. Arjuna is afraid, Arjuna is exactly in this frame of mind. I am afraid of killing somebody because if I kill, I will go to hell. And Krishna says, no, no, you can kill. But, you know, if you have the right motivation, if you are doing it as a duty, as a kshatriya, if you are not selfishly involved, you know. Of course it's a drastic example, it can be, you know, Drupal yoga, it can be misused, but but the point is, you know, what matters is your consciousness. Not exactly the form what you're doing, but what your consciousness with which you are doing what you are doing. And if your consciousness is right, you know, even if you did something little wrong, it doesn't matter so much. You're still on the right path. But if you're very afraid, you know, whether I crossed the boundaries or not, then you will be always paranoid about this and will always find some excuse and will always be uncertain. So please understand the science, and then you will understand the application of the science. Okay. it in such a way so that you become detached. Because often you really want to forget the experience. I will explain the question a little differently. The point is that emotional experiences which we have haunt us in this life and they become the stumbling blocks in our progress. Sometimes Sometimes people have childhood traumas, and this childhood traumas completely distort their perception of life, and so on and so forth. And we all have unfortunate experiences, or sometimes very happy experiences, which are ultimately not beneficial for us. So the question of how to forget, or transform it, and use the energy, the emotional energy which is stored in this subliminal impression, samskaras, which we have into something positive. As I said, memory haunts us. And the only way to erase this memory, especially painful memories, there are two things which we should know. To erase these negative experiences, negative emotional experiences which we have. One is not to be attached to them. paradoxically we are very attached to negative experiences which we have we may forget some positive experiences but negative experiences we never forget we come back to them again and again and again if somebody harmed us if somebody inflicted some pain to us if somebody was was doing something we will remember about him or her on our death bad. So first thing is just to understand that this is foolish. That we should let it go. We should not dwell into it. Yes, somebody did something bad to us. Some pain is there. It's okay. It's fine. It's according to our karma. The first thing Srila Prabhupada gave a very beautiful formula. don't be angry with the instrument of your karma somebody gave you some pain why did he give you some pain because because you gave some pain to somebody else and you were supposed to receive some pain, some painful experience and it doesn't matter through whom it came it was supposed to come to you so first don't be attached to these negative experiences. You may think that you don't attach, but you are. First is just to understand philosophically it came not without a reason. It came because Krishna, because the law of karma doesn't make any mistake. It came not without a reason. So let it go. don't dwell into it don't think about it and then another thing is that try to maximize your spiritual experience which will help you to push out the material experiences you know just if you have good happy spiritual life then you don't have to dwell into this material experiences which you have. No need. Just remain happy Hare Krishna devotee. No problem. Alright. Thank you very much. Hare Krishna. .
