So, he was trying to teach us a very important lesson that the meditation on the order of the spiritual master is not less important than the execution of the order of the spiritual master. He was not in a hurry to execute the order of the spiritual master. But he always had this order of the spiritual master within his heart. There is a little story from his stay in Mathura, in Keshavji Gaudiya Mat. When he gave up his family life, he moved first to Mathura and he stayed in Mathura in Keshavji Gaudiya Math, in his god-brother's Gaudiya Math, Bhakti Pragyan Keshavamaraj's Gaudiya Math. So once he was doing some preaching late at night and he came back to the ashram, to the temple late at night when everyone already finished prasadam. So he was sitting there taking some cold prasadam with cold chapatis, with one brahmachari next to him. And he was eating this cold prasadam. He was still a vanaprastha at that time. He was not a sannyasi. and at that time one Indian family, husband, wife and couple of children looked into this room where he was taking prasadam, glanced at him and went away. So, at that time, there was a kid who came to the house and came to the house and came to the house. So, one, two children came and saw the house inside and they were not in the house. And when they went away, Srila Prabhupada started chuckling. And after some time he said, Look, these people came inside, glanced over an old man eating dry and cold chapatis and went away. And then he said, but they don't know what great things Chaitanya Mahaprabhu will do through this old man who is eating cold chapatis now. So it means that always within his heart he was sure that he will do the order, he will execute the order of his spiritual master. I will give you the wisdom of the Guru, and I will give you the wisdom of God. The wisdom of the Guru will give you the wisdom of his Guru. Another time when he was already in America, he was just starting his movement. movement, nobody was there, no followers, no temple, nothing. And he was speaking with some old men in America and he said, Oh, I already have many temples all over the world and I have thousands of followers. And they are already there. It's only time which separates us from this moment. So this is the secret of Prabhupada's success. the constant meditation, deep meditation on the order of spiritual master. Śrīla Prabhupāda is the Krishna for sure will reciprocate with this desire within the heart. And this great face made Prabhupada Prabhupada. Mahatayai Vishwasamana Prabhupada. There is another little story from the time when he was taking sannyas in Keshevji Gaudiya Math. Keshav Ji and Gaudiya are in the same place, and they are in the same place. And Akinjana Krishnadasa Babaji, he was constantly chanting the holy name. He was completely absorbed in the holy name. So when the priest was doing ablations and chanting some mantras and doing svaha, svaha, in the meantime, secretly, without him seeing it, Srila Prabhupada encouraged Akinjana Krishna Das Babaji, you loudly chant the holy name. He gave the sign to him. And later, Akinjana Krishna Das Babaji said, At this moment, I understood that he will be successful. Because he has the implicit face into the power of the Holy Name. Tarnam adhyatina harinamata-nri-shakti-li-nirupadhi-ga-maya-viśvasam-undar. There is another little story from Akiñśena Krishnadasi Babaji. He was once sitting with Bonmaraj, disciple of Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada. And Bonmaraj was one of the first Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswatish disciples whom he sent to the West. And he opened the first branch of Gaudiya Math in London, and he was there in Germany. He met with the Queen, and he had some little level of success, but ultimately he couldn't spread Krishna consciousness. The important thing is that the Akinchenakrishnadas Babaji Maharaj were very close friends. So Babaji Maharaj started teasing Bon Maharaj and he said, see, you know English and Swamim Maharaj Silla Prabhupada, he is called Swamim Maharaj in Gaudiamat, you also know English, you are learned and he is learned, You are a good speaker and he is a good speaker. Prabhupada had faith in the order of his spiritual master and faith in the Holy Name. It's easy for us to think, yes, Prabhupada was destined to have success and, you know, for sure the success will be there. And yes, Prabhupada had faith, but still he was not very sure what is going to happen in America. He goes into a completely unknown place. He doesn't know what is the people, how they like, what are they. He doesn't even know, he admitted later, he doesn't even know whether they will understand his English or not. And in fact, many of his early disciples, they told later that We actually didn't understand what he's talking, you know, because of his heavy accent. But still, because he has the face in the order of his spiritual master and in the holy name, He, in the mood of complete sharanagati, complete surrender, boards the ship, Jaladuta ship in Kolkata, and goes to unknown place to America to spread Krishna consciousness. Later he also said why he went to America, not to any other place. He said, my godbrothers went to England, to Britain, my godbrothers went to Germany, went to France, they went to Europe, and they failed. And I decided to go to America because if I fail, at least I fail in a different place. So, he is here in Cochin for his 69th birthday. It's actually amazing that he was here for Janmashtami on his birthday on his trip. And he definitely meditates. What's going to happen? What's going to happen? What's going to happen? He is a little bit of a meditation for the past. He is a little bit of a meditation. He is a little bit of a meditation. He is a little bit of a meditation. He is a little bit of a meditation. He is a little bit of a meditation. And this meditation for him is his relationship with Krishna. You know, he's entering into very deep and intimate relationship with Krishna, and he's constantly speaking with Krishna. Krishna, what will happen? You know, you are in charge. What will happen? I don't know what will happen, but I'm surrendered to you. So this dialogue with Krishna is constantly going on within his heart. So this Tivramaya Dhyanam, Very deep meditation within the heart on Krishna and his desire is called Krishna consciousness. You know Krishna is there, but Krishna is hiding. You know that he is there, but Krishna is not really revealing yourself to you, but you still insist, I know you are here and I want to fulfill your desire. Not my desire but your desire. That's called complete saranagati. In one of the Purports to Chaitanya Charita Amrita, Srila Prabhupada says that there is a constant competition between Krishna and his devotee of who will serve more. They will always compete with each other. Devotee wants to serve more, Krishna is trying to compete with him and serve the devotee more, but the devotee says, No, I will serve you more. In the same way, in the heart of Srila Prabhupada, the same competition is going on. Srila Prabhupada says to Krishna, you do whatever you like and I will anyway preach to you, preach your message, preach Krishna consciousness, no matter what happens. And ultimately, Srila Prabhupada says that devotee becomes victorious over Krishna. It's only in our tradition, in our spiritual tradition, Bhakta is more powerful than Bhagavan. In every other tradition, Bhagavan is all-powerful and Bhakta is just surrendered soul. But in our tradition, the surrender of a Bhakta forces Bhagavan to give him Shakti, which amazes Bhagavan himself. You know, because Bhagavan is Rasamai, he wants to have rasa. He wants to have this enjoyment of the relationship. And the main condition of rasa is amazement, is this chamatkara. So when Prabhupada, with his determination and his desire to serve, he completely creates this feeling of amazement in Bhagavan. And Bhagavan thinks, you know, this old man is going to America, and he's going to spread my message there. You know, it's amazing. I have to give him some Shakti. So this is the third secret of success of Srila Prabhupada. The first secret was his implicit face in the order of his spiritual master. The second secret was his complete face, Vishwas, into the holy name. But the third secret is that by his determination, he could surprise even Bhagavan himself. So this dritta nishcayaam visvās, or dritta nishcayaam, this determination to do something for Bhagavan is actually, you know, His teaching to us. Krishna arranged this Leela to teach all the followers of Srila Prabhupada how we can achieve success in our spiritual life. But the ultimate secret of success is that in our desire to please Krishna, in our desire to please our spiritual master, in our desire to preach Krishna consciousness, we have to impress Krishna himself. Shila Prabhupada tells the little story in Bhagavad Gita about the little sparrow who wanted to dry up the ocean. So the ocean took away the eggs of this little sparrow, and his sparrow became very determined, and he said, okay, if you don't want to give me the eggs back, you know, I will dry you up, no problem. And he started, you know, taking little water of the ocean and put it in another place. Actually, in Gujarat, there is still a place where this happened. And there is a big, big lake with salty water near the ocean. And nobody knows how it appears, but according to the local legend, And this lake was the result of this sparrow endeavors. He went to Garuda and he said, do something about it. You are the king of the birds. And then Garuda came to this spot where this frantic endeavor is going on, and Garuda looked and he became so impressed and so moved by this labor of the birds. Then he said to the ocean, you know, you better give back the eggs or you will deal with me. And still the ocean was not so impressed. But then Garuda moved his wing and the ocean became completely agitated. And he said, okay, okay, I realized everything. I surrender to you. So this is the mechanism, the little sparrow, little tiny jiva, cannot do anything on its own. The only thing which we can do is to develop this determination, this driddha nishcaya. And then the miracle can happen with the help of the higher forces. So, Śrīla Prabhupāda is standing here in this place, going in a coaching itself and, you know, meditating on this. and this is the state of his mind. This is the state of his heart. No matter what, I will do my part and then Krishna, whatever you want to do, you will do, but I will do my part of the service no matter what happened otherwise. So this is the best place in the universe to obtain this Antarika Bhavam. This. And if this Antarika Bhavam will come to our heart, the success will be guaranteed. You know, it is said that a great devotee, whenever he goes, he invests his bhava into this place. And if we come to this place, we can get the privilege of sharing this bhava or obtaining this bhava, which Prabhupada invested here. Shri La Pravupad, this sthalat to nikshevicha, this and every kind of the spirit of the spirit of the spirit of the spirit, and that is the spirit of the spirit of the spirit of the spirit. It's like the powerhouse of his determination and power, and we can kind of connect with this determination in this place. The Pravupad, that is the spirit of the spirit of the spirit of the spirit of the spirit of the spirit, So there is no doubt about it that this is a very powerful Shakti Pitam.
